Noosa Council have created a page on their website titled Application Tracking. The Application Search page is HERE.

The table HERE provides links to development applications listed on the Council’s Planning Online Web Page.

A list of current development applications can be found HERE.

A list of some significant Cooroy area development applications provided by Councillor Tony Wellington:

1. New DA for Myall St/Ferrells Rd location – MCU14/0056
This one has just been lodged. It is for a fast-food and drive-thorough business, self storage units, a 900 square metre IGA, service station, car wash and caravan park for the vacant land immediately on the left as one enters town from the Bruce Highway (opposite the Golf Course).

The site is zoned Rural and the the uses are all identified as consistent – which does not mean it will necessarily be approved. The application and supporting material can be viewed at Planning Online on Council’s website. This application is being reviewed by planning officers to determine whether further information is required. Once this period concludes, the application will be publicly notified.

2. Top Forestry Rd Broiler Farm. – MCU12/0184
The applicants were given until 31 July to provide Council with additional information. That has now been received. The new information sees changes to the proposal including no composting on site. The new material will now be assessed, and Council may seek further advice from odour and traffic consultants. This application will come before a future round of Council meetings for final determination. You can view the newly submitted material on Council’s website.

3. Tomato Farm at 350 Lake Macdonald Drive – MCU14/0039
On June 25, Council issued a request for further information regarding flooding, storm-water and the capacity of the site’s soils to absorb extra nutrient loads. Issues regarding access were also raised as the driveway to Lake Macdonald Drive has not been constructed to Council’s standards. An acoustic report has also been requested. This development is “code assessable”, however officers have advised that issues raised by the community will be addressed in their report to Council. The applicant has 6 months to respond to the information request under the Sustainable Planning Act.

If you wish to notify CARA of any issue associated with a development application, email CARA.
